1. How do I use this website?

We've tried to make the website easy to use. Browse through the categories to view what's available, or you can use the search box to look for specific products. When you find what you are looking for, simply add it to your basket and proceed to the checkout to pay for your shopping. In case you have any trouble contact our helpful customer service team.

2. How does the basket work?

The basket is very much like a real shopping basket: find the products you wish to buy and place them in your basket before going to the checkout. You can delete items or increase the quantity of items from the basket page.

3. Is it safe to shop online at www.household2U.co.uk?

Yes. We are ISIS (Internet Shopping Is Safe) accredited, as additional reassurance to our customers.

4 How can I pay for my order?

VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro/Switch, VISA Electron or Solo. 
We currently only accept cards issued by a UK bank.

5. Can I cancel or change an order?

If you change your mind about an order and want to cancel it, you can do so up to the point when it is despatched (orders are normally processed immediately after they've been placed, so we may have already packed your order and made arrangements for it to be sent when you cancel it. If this is the case then we can't always stop the order from being delivered: once you receive the order, just return it to us (free of charge).

6. How do I add to my order once I have submitted it?

To amend your order, please contact us by clicking here. Unfortunately we cannot make changes to orders that have already been dispatched.

7. How do I return an item I have purchased?

Simply post the item back to us and advise our friendly customer service team that it's on its way – once we have received the goods we will refund you.

8. Do I have to pay for returns?

No you will receive with your delivery a returns label with prepaid postage.

9. Am I charged for the items as soon as I order them?

No - we'll only charge you when your items are despatched.

10. Do I have to pay for delivery?

If your order is over £50.00, delivery is free! For orders up to £49.99, delivery is £7.50.

11. Is VAT included in your prices?

Yes household2u are VAT registered and all of the prices you see on the site are inclusive of VAT.

12. If part of my order is out of stock, do I have to pay an extra delivery charge when it is sent to me?

No - if something is out of stock and your order is over £50 we will not charge you to deliver it. We currently do not keep a back order system so you will need to reorder at a later date.

13. How long do I have to wait for my order to arrive?

Up to 7 working days with standard delivery.

14. What if I am out when the courier tries to deliver?

Unless otherwise stated, they will leave a note explaining that they tried to deliver your parcel and what will happen next.

15. Can I specify a day or time for delivery?

Yes we offer next day, Saturday or evening deliveries at additional costs.

16. Do I have to sign for my parcel?

Yes our deliveries require a signature.

17. Can I have an order delivered overseas?

No – we cannot deliver overseas at present. Please see our delivery instructions for more detail.

18. What is the Credit Card Security Code/Card Verification Value (CVV)?

It's either a unique 3-digit number printed on the back of your credit/debit card or if you have an American Express card it is a 4-digit number on the front (usually top right) of your card that helps us validate your purchase and protect against fraud. Since this isn't contained in the magnetic strip information, it doesn't get printed on sales receipts, so it's difficult for anyone other than the genuine cardholder to know it. It's sometimes referred to as the Card Security Code, the Personal Security Code or the Card Verification Value (CVV). Your order can't be fully processed without a valid Security Code. Once your order has been processed, your Security Code won't be held on file.
